Playing movies on N73 / E70

Has anyone been able to get avi files to play on either of these phones? I tried using both Smartmovie and Divx Player on a friends E62. The video came out fine but the audio was unlistenable. Attempted encoding them with various bitrates using ffmpegx on my Mac.

I am considering getting one of them to replace my Cingular 8125. While I was less than pleased with the 8125 for a number of reasons, using TCPMP it did handle just about any media file I threw at it without a hitch.

At the moment I have the 2nd season of The Office, the 4th season of Cheers, Out Cold, Office Space, and Endless Summer II on my N73 (LOVE 2GB MiniSDs). All play without a hitch using smartmovie. $30 may sound like alot (actually, not if you're coming from WM) but it's worth it cause to convert a file, you drag it onto the converter, in the bottom left corner you select your phone. Then click "convert." No settings to tinker with, they've done that for you. And you can manually play with the audio to lag it or pre-roll, whichever is appropriate.

I tried SUPER, DivxConverter, and some other one, none compared in ease of use and convenience. I can drag 30 video files on there, click convert, and go to work. When I get home I have a whole new library for my phone.

P.S. - if you do some googling, you can save yourself the $30 easily.

Yes warez. Personally, I don't feel bad. I bought the program for my 6620, 6682, and N80. That's $90 I've given them. I think I'm good. Software that's tied to the IMEI is bunk, imo, specially to someone who switches phones as often as I do.
