Play.com Question Please Answer

A few weeks ago saw on Play.com some offer in which you could pre-order something now but not pay until the item is released (for example I pre-order Inception today but don't pay until 7th December) Anyone know if this offer is still available?

It's not an offer.
It's the way Play and virtually every site work.
Very few take payment when you order - they take payment when the item is in stock
Assuming Inception comes out on a Monday like every other release it should be the 6th , not the 7th .

Play would usually get the film in about a week before the release date so your payment would be taken on the preceding Tuesday or Wednesday and then posted to ensure you get it by release date - often you'll get it the saturday before

That's the way it always works with Play.com.
Usually a week before the release date they process the payment and once the payment has cleared yor order goes off to packing then usually you recieve it a couple of days before release.

Ah okay/ I only asked because they had some thing to the side a few weeks ago that said in capitals "BUY NOW PAY LATER" so I assumed it was some sort of offer as it hasn't came up since and I have been looking for it.

That would likely be a credit deal for some of the larger electronics they sell I would think.
Possibly related to the Play.com credit card I've seen at some point

I think they are not allowed to take payment until delivery. Its the RABR's I think.

Don't think so because there are sites where you have the option to pay on order if you want to

I just pre-ordered Inception I've never pre oredered anything before but I've heard they usually come before release if pre-ordered.

yes they do on play.com thats is actually the case any once has it happened that Ive pre ordered something and I didnt get it until the Wed after it was initally released
