question about permits..? Our driveway is L shaped. I'd like to put the garage where the driveway goes off to the side. However, this goes to the property line. So I was wondering if there are certain guidelines on how far it needs to be from the property line or not. If we can't put it there, of course we will just put it straight back. I just feel it will look nicer on the side where it goes off into the L.

I live in New York, if that matters.
 
My driveway is beanus-shaped for obvious reasons. Just put the garage wherever you want it and tell the neighbors you are gonna park a '93 Classic Civic in there. They will be so thrilled, they will want the garage on their property.
