It's on Channel 4 right now. I thought it was an OK remake but the ending was very confusing. I might watch it now to try and understand what the ending was all about. Did anyone else watch it before and get the ending

i tihnk, as time goes on, that this will be seen as underrated .....
i like it, and it's pretty easy to understand the ending .....

tim burton chose the term "re-imiging" very well

I love TIM BURTON and I loved the original PLANET OF THE APES movie. I thought it was gonna be a marriage made in heaven - but somehow it just didn't quite work for me. I thinks it's ok but I had expected Mr.Burton to inject the "WOW" factor into it, and he didn't.

I just couldn't deal with the movie from the standpoint that I knew it could never have an impact that matched the original. You need to top or at least come close to topping that ending and I could never see how they would. The film looked good but it was always doomed to disappoint because of that.

more than likely, as m.warhberg was trying to get back to his time ..... he didn't!!! and ended up in another alternate time period :D

o.k. the ending with the apes in charge I can understand, because his crew crash landed in the past, the genetically enhanced apes escaped from their cages, which led to the past being changed.

but, why was the statue of the ape general (forgot his name)?
