I haven't seen this films in years and to be honest, I've never really rated it that much, but last I decided to whip the DVD out (Christmas present
) after a long time and my thoughts changed.
I actually found it really enjoyable, funny and very touching. It has some top moments such as "those aren't pillows", "You're going the wrong way!" and Steve Martins famous speech with the car assistant lady.
I also found John Candy's character to be so sweet and I really felt for him (I'll even admit I got slightly chocked up when Steve Martin realises his wife is dead and he's going to be spending Thanksgiving alone), he really does try his best and is far too nice.
Anyway just wanted to point out what a great little comedy it is and it's nice to finally see them both realise they are frienRAB after such a traumatic time together. Anybody else a fan?
