Pixar should make a CGI Super Mario Bros. movie.

That seems highly unlikely. Pixar does original material. Nintendo could do their only Mario movie although every other previous attempt to make any Mario Bros. movies has turned out to be at least mildly terrible.

They could just use the voices they have in the most recent Mario games, as far as I'm concerned. One of the problems I have this new wave of CGI movies is their dependency on B and C-list celebrity voices to carry the characters. The idea is for the audience to focus on the characters themselves, not whichever Hollywood flavor-of-the-month is providing their voices.

Me? I would say:

Lou Albano as Mario
Danny Wells as Luigi
Jeanne Elias as Peach
John Stocker as Toad
Harvey Atkin as Koopa

Yes, those are all of the main voice actors from The Super Mario Brothers Super Show. It's not necessary to employ "hot" movie stars all the time, you know.

Seeing Pixar base a film off of franchises like Super Mario Brothers or Sonic the Hedgehog would feel wrong in so many ways. I'd much rather see more films with original ideas that haven't been touched upon in any animated properties in the past. I wouldn't mind Pixar doing some sort of adaptation, but I sure as hell wouldn't want it to be of a video game.

Zelda can be good for a movie, as long as they can keep Link silent. His expressions can cover it like in the games. Besides, they could have a voice that some people think is good, while others think it sucks, and that's probably the reason why he's remained silent except for the grunts and groans.
