Pitt to replace Cruise in M:I:IV

Didn't Tom Cruise produce them though? I thought that he planned to take the series to a new company :confused:

I'd be glad if Tom Cruise wasn't involved in the Mission Impossibles anymore, but then I'd be glad if he wasn't involved in film at all!
 
I don't like either of them in movies like this. Cruise should stick to playing smug tossers like Frank T.J. Mackey. He's probably as good as you can get at that.

Pitt's usually decent in most things, but I've never been a big fan.
 
Why not have Pitt be the baddie, the ultimate movie show down...I'd love to see those two in the same movie ("Vampire" comes to mind) again. With little clothing on...ok I'll stop... :D
 
I'd rather they kept Tom Cruise in the role and if anything added , as Mixstar said, Brad Pitt as the bad guy. Aside all the fuss around Tom Cruise, Ethan Hunt and M I : 3 kicked ass.

Plus as someone noted, since Tom produced all the series so far, and was one of the main people who pushed for it to be made in the first place, I'm sure he's already got something which entitles him to the rights or at least involvement in any future movies.
