Pitch Black/Chronacles Of Riddick

I found some news on thezreview.co.uk that gives a bit more info about the sequel to The Chronicles of Riddick:

Vin Diesel has stated that he plans to star in "The Chronicles of Riddick 2" and a possible third feature. The first film was a box office disappointment, but it did well on DVD. In "CR2", Riddick will go into the Underverse. "CR3" would be the final return home to Furia. He expects "CR2" to be rated R because of the gore.

I didnt realise that The Chronicles of Riddick had done well on DVD!
 
I liked the cinema version of riddick basicly because of judi dench I thought she addeRAB loaRAB and bought the uncut version and hated it, all of judi denches parts is cut and a bit to horror film when the first was a bit fantasy/adventure.
 
Sorry a bit confused here, how can the uncut version have bits cut that are in the theatre release?

I thought the "uncut" version would in fact have bits added not taken out, hence "uncut".
 
Yeah you would think that but no they replace bits!! Like (i don't know if you have seen it but...) when Aereon is explaining about riddick to that girl(sorry forgot her name) in that ship thing in the uncut one you hear Judi Dench's first line then it cuts to them slug things explaining it. It is stupid there are alot of good new things but the lack of Aereon/Judi Dench just pissed me off really.
 
Motthus, what time scale (how recent did he say this) are we talking here?
I seem to recall Vin saying this (or something very similar) in print some time last year.

Don't get me wrong, I would love the trilogy to be completed, but how excited should we get?
 
Yeah that is true as I also remember reading something quite similar to that quote that I read on Moviehole.net and has been on other film news websites!
So to be honest I would not get your hopes up to much untill it is offically announced that they have started filming on it!
