Pirates of the Carribean 2

I'm pretty sure they'll answer the Barbosa question in the third one. I hear through the grapevine that they have already started the 3rd one. My personal opinion is that not all the coins were returned on time for whatever reason. We didn't actually see Barbosa die. We just saw him bleed. He bled from the sword wound when Kierra Knightly stabbed him on the ship. His bleeding from the gun wound is not substantial proof for his death.

Jack is OBVIOUSLY coming back. All in all, it was an AWESOME movie. The whole movie was ruined, though, because I somehow lost my wallet.

Luckily, I only had $80 on me.

Cool, I saw it last night at 12 20 with some people also.

Theatre was also packed. Some folks were even dressed as pirates. I guess people really love this movie.

Why are you guys wondering if Jack will come back in the third? lol The whole reason Barbosa came back is so they can go get Jack. But then after they get Jack they still have to get the heart to free Will's father, so Jack will have a role during that part of the third movie.

One thing I wasn't sure of. Did Elisabeth really have a thing for Jack? Because whenever she was trying to prove he was a good man, she was trying to seduce him but acted like she didn't care once he walked away. Then compass pointed at him (or was it because she was sitting on the chest) when they were looking for the chest. The kiss at the end seemed pretty real but then she chained him up and left him to die. And she could have been crying at the end because 1) Jack was her friend. 2)She basically killed Jack. 3)She really did have a thing for him 4.) any combination

Just got back from watching it 3 hours ago. I didn't really like it. Way too long, unecessarily complicated.

They definately did WAY too many closeups on the octopus dude's face tho. Trying to show off the leet graphics and makeup work. A lot of parts weren't logical either.

I don't know if this counts as a spoiler, but

-If the octopus captain could teleport to the Black Pearl, why can't he teleport to the beach where his treasure was or anywhere else for that matter?

-Was the ghostfather freed?

I don't think she is. In my opinion, there are too many details against this. For example, while ages are hard to tell, she just seems way too young. As well, in the chest Jones had all his love letters. She doesnt seem like a girl, now or ever, that writes love letters.

?? It's a fantasy world. People come back to life, are followed by zombies, turn into skeletons, and you don't believe a voodoo priestess could be older than she looks?

People enjoyed the first more simply because this one lacked any sort of conclusion. It'll be hard to rate this movie's quality without seeing the 3rd first.

There's still an inconsistentcy with that theory. Pintel was also shot (in the exact place Barbossa was) while under the curse and no blood was shown from the wound because the crew was still immortal (remember in Curse of the Black Pearl when they tried to break the curse using Elizabeth?).

The only discrepency I can find is that when Barbossa was shot, the curse wasn't broken. It wasn't until after Jack had fired his solitary bullet and Will dropped the blood-covered coins into the Aztec chest that the bullet wound and blood began to appear (kind of a delayed effect).

As for Elizabeth having any feelings towards Jack, I think that's entirely possible. She has always had a fascination with pirates and he did save her life at the beginning of the first movie (kinda makes her a bitch for killing him at the end of the second).

The biggest thing I would like to know is how Pintel and Ragetti ended up free from British capture. If they've somehow managed to escape capture, then perhaps other members of the "damned" crew are still around.

I'm sure she could be older than she looks, and yes, I realize its fantasy. Nevertheless, from the feel of the story, it doesn't seem like she would fit this part.

I liked it enough, I though it was good but it wont be much and people will bitch till they see the 3rd to finish the story.

Ill go see the 3rd one it interested me enough.

I was reading through Wikipedia today and came across this tidbit about the song. No name, but apparently it's used quite often in the film.

part one was much better than the second installment imo. Part 2 was just way too long and I found myself bored at various parts of the film.
