Well, I've just returned from seeing At World's End at our local cinema and my immediate reaction is:

Legend of the Black Pearl - 10/10
Dead Man's Chest - 4/10
At World's End - 3/10

I wonder how many people sat through the end credits to see the 'Ten Years Later' scene. Our cinema was pretty full and only 8 or 10 people stayed through to the end.

well, i rule,

if you love these films then this is the must watch trailer everyone has been waiting for.

the offical trailer isnt out until 2mora night in the US, (the very 1st time its going to be shown)

I thought it was great!

The ending had been depressing me all morning until I worked out that

the after-credits scene meant the curse had been lifted and Will was free

I feel like a bit of an idiot but some movies really affect me!

I enjoyed the film and all the performances. The only bit I didn't really like was the multiple Jack Sparrows and I wasn't happy at the ending as it seemed much more logical for either Jack to kill Davy Jones and "sail the seas" forever (but I expect they want to make another film so didn't want that to happen) or even more logical for Will's dad to kill him so Will could be with Elizabeth. I didn't get to stay through the credits so I am slightly mollified to find that there was an extra scene giving us softies a happy ending!

I was a bit confused for part of it and didn't really understand what Calypso was all about. I'd like to see it again. I had to leave right on the credits. Could someone kindly PM what happened please.

I know how you feel! It's the same with Lost, hundreRAB of people have given up on that because the plot is too confusing, but having watched it from the start I don't find it that confusing at all.

Saw it today, and I really enjoyed it. Fair enough, the plot is long and convoluted, but unlike other summer films it doesn't really spell out peoples motives (Sometimes they are a passing mention.

And the last battle... Wow

(Make sure to stay after the credits).

Am I the only one who hates the idea of them ending the film by cursing Will and then throwing it out the window in a bloody after-credits scene? Either curse him or let him have a happy ending.

Just got back from seeing it, I'll admit it was long but for a good cause, they explained everything, if people are still confused then you must be an idiot or have a short attention span to not remember the first two films. This film was great, I enjoyed every minute of it, was a sigh of relief after the huge disapointments from Spider-Man 3 and Shrek 3. POTC3 was a long ride to the end of the line, they had to pack a lot of stuff in, but it was definetly worth it, just for the ship battles at the end, or even
Seeing Davy Jones in Human Form
or
Captain Teague

Overall, a truely great film for the summer and I hope it does well, because it really deserves too, unlike some *cough*Spider-Man*cough*

I liked it :p I don't know why but I liked it better then Dead Mans Chest...

@ThinBoy, I found it funny I knew there was something on at the end of the credits and we had a really full cinema and by the time the 'Ten years later' scene came on me and my friend were the only people left :p...

Do agree that it was to long. I found it confusing trying to work out each characters purpose. i liked the ending and i felt that jack was going to find the thing he wanted most which could have been the black pearl and/or Keria. I really liked how the ending was structured and the humour was good. Also the middle was confusing because you didn't know who's side if you wanna say was on whos. Part from that i really enjoyed it.
