No chance of it backfiring as the first two movies have already more than paid the way for the whole series (Dead Man's Chest went over a billion at the box office off of a budget of a quarter of a billion).

POTC3 is a guaranteed success, any box office from it (and, let's face it, there will be a lot) will just be money in the bank.

Dude, I wouldn't really call Matrix 3 a 'backfire' yeah it made less than the first 2, but I still dont believe you can call $424,988,211 (http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=matrixrevolutions.htm) million worldwide backfiring.


As for POTC3, yeah I'm looking forward to it, regardless of the fact 2 was too long, I still want to see the final part (unless they decide to do the 3 more mentioned). I couldn't just not see it after the first 2.

I'm not very active in Pirates fandom, but I'd rather it ended with Will/Liz. I don't see, ATM, how a Jack/Liz ending could work.
