It depend on the model. Some models have a port built into the front. Other models have the port wired to the back of the unit. What is the model number?
For the 400UB, it is wired to the back of the unit. You'll have to use a USB extension cord to bring it to the front of the dash board. If the unit didn't come with one, you can get a 4 foot extension with the little SD card readers at wal mart. They are usually cheaper than the cord itself.
