pins and needles in left thumb

Hi I have been having some upper arm discomfort which makes pins and needle feelings down my arm into my left thumb. I noticed the episode after doing some yard work, which consisted of digging up grass and weed wacking. The next day is when I noticed the pins & needle feelings. This has gone on for almost 2 weeks now and the other weird thing is, when I sit down on the toilet to urinate, it always brings the pins & needles down my arm and into my thumb. It comes and goes all through the day. I do feel some muscle soreness in my upper arm and below my elbow into the fore arm. I have been having some tooth problems that I am taking care of at this time. I am going to have it extracted Friday and then want to have this arm/thumb thing looked at. Any suggestions at what might be going on?

Might be a pinched nerve in your neck, shoulder, or elbow. It can happen just from tight crampy muscles!

Does moving your arm, turning your head, or rolling your shoulder affect it?
