Pins and Needles Around Chest and Back

Hi,

Has anyone ever coughed hard and gotten pins and needles all around your chest and back area....in a band fashion? As if you have a thick band or strap all the way around you in that area that had needles in it. I had a coughing fit today due to post-nasal drip and that is what happened to me. I do have upper neck problems (pain, tingling, nurabness, etc..in other areas) but this is the first time this ever happened to me. Now I wonder if this could be related to something in my thoracic spine?
 
it is possible - although it sounRAB like symptoms I had with a rib that was out of place. Check with your doctor/chiropractor/physical therapist. There are test that they can do to check to see.

Arghhh, I guess the rib thing could be a possibility. Several weeks ago I actually took a really bad fall, almost flat onto my back. I fell about 5 or 6 onto the sidewalk from my front porch. For about 2 days, I did have a sharp pain on the side of my back in an area where ribs are..and I even though, Oh boy, I hope I didn't crack or break a rib. That pain didn't last, though, so I disregarded that thought. My neck has been even worse than it was before the fall, though. Strangely, though a good thing, is that my lower back isn't worse. I never got myself checked out because a doctor would most likely want at least x-rays or maybe even an MRI, especially since I've already had spine surgery...but I couldn't afford it, so didn't even bother going to the doctor.
