Pink Floyd's the wall

The pink character is based on both Roger Waters and Syd Barrett...And a lot of the things he does in the movie come from sh*t that either Roger or Syd has done in real life.

The movie is a autobiography in many ways.

Atom Heart Mother was ok, the title track and Summer 68 were great, the other songs just sound more like musical concrete pieces rather than actual songs.

Other than that i disagree, i think their 70s stuff got a lot better than the post Syd stuff they did in the 60s, like More and Ummagumma...Meddle was the first truely great album they did after Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, and Dark Side Of The Moon was even better...I also rank Wish You Were Here and Animals among their best work...And even though their last 2 albums, Momentary Lapse Of Reason and The Division Bell are nothing great, i would certainly say they were better than The Final Cut, which is their worst in my opinion.

i'm glad that Barrett got knocked out of the band.. if he stayed in Pink Floyd they never would have been so great.. cause well he would only have taken them down..

The movie is good, as long as you dont mind a whole feature film of pyschedelic acid trips, being based on a Floyd album you should already know that. :)

I love the brillant animated sequences, those were the best parts of the movie.

it's more the animation, ay least thats what i noticed, i was all like wtf is going on? when i was stoned and sober.

and dark side of the rainbow is trippy, just how it all fits together.

As far as I'm aware, the Movie doesn't have a full explanation. I watched it a while ago, but, after watching it again, it made a lot more sense ^^ especially the part with our flag melting into the cross.

More or less, he has a mental break down. Still even now the animation looks fantastic! Comfortably Nurab is *the* best song ever, in my opinion. :-))

the movie is amazing, for me its one of me all time favorites ever... the cartoon parts are amazing how every thing changes forum to fit with each mood from scary to sexuality all in one.. its pretty cool. the whole movie is really good... but watching it stoned is completely different then solber. :pimp:

i LOVE Pink Floyd, i wouldn't have liked them if Syd stayed with them tho.. I really dislike that dude, and his voice was ****.

I like what Pink Floyd came to be... they were amazing.. AMAZING!

yeah the animation is amazing and i've listened to the cd countless times, it's my fav cd from them. but yeah it does make sense once you break it down.

that movie and tomy by the who have to be 2 of the trippiest movies all time seriously.

well i think the arnold lang days and that crazy 60's/british sound was pretty sweet too. they're one of the onlt banRAB that really go from that genre into the art rock, and story telling sort. there are a few others, but you have to listen to what you like, and not listen to a band's certain era just because of what they are.
