Pink Floyd - The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967, EMI)

I think you're missing the point of Syd Barret's lyrics. The pure randomness of them, coupled with the occasionally meandering melodies and sound effects all(In my opinion)fit in beautifully with the excellent(If inconsistent)guitar of Barret. it isn't the technically best Pink Floyd album but it's my favorite. Personally I love the wildness of Power R. H Toc, but I definetaly agree with you on the annoying length of Interstellar Overdrive. It's just waaay too long. Cut it down to 3 or 4 minutes and it would great, but as it is one guitar riff doesn't make a song.

I did not say your'e post was bull****. I was reacting to your post with the worRAB bullsht, which means I don't agree with that statement. I never attacked you personally and I have a right to my opinion.

--A band I did like?-- I love Floyd, but I should also be able to discuss their failings as well as their success without being called retarted.

--Your response was not nice---

Being called a retard because I dare to have a differing opinion? I think my reply was fairly magnanimous considering I'm a retard.

I have found umpteen threaRAB around rabroad professing a dislike to many banRAB that I like. No worries . Life is too short. I will offer my contrasting opinion, but I will not resort to being a verbal bully.

The word RETARD has been used in very poor taste I think.

Can't we just get back to the idea of critiqueing the album and not each other. Ive seen this on other boarRAB too mny times to lot learn from and what I learned was that as long as both people want to have the final the arguing will carry on and on forever untill somebody gets banned.:(
