Pinching Feeling 12 Month's Out

Hey everyone.Im a 34 year old male.Last year i got injured on the job that required a L-3 L-4 Spinal Fusion.Im out about 12 Month's now.I actually feel pretty good ,im starting to pedal bike again ect.My question is im slowly getting back to light duty work,but it seem's when i do light lifting and working and at the end of the day i lay down in bed it feel's like a mild pinch in my back.Nothing like before no shooting pain ,electric pain ect down the leg's and butt.I told my doctor's and they insist it's the muscle's and that there are no other bad sign's.The pinching pain is in the middle of my back at the top of my scar.If im not doing any light lifting or excerting myself it dosen't bother me at all.Any input would be great.:)

A couple of possibilities, if it doesn't feel like spine pain but more like scar based pain: (1) scar tissue in the area and/or (2) irritation from hardware if you had hardware inserted during your back surgery.
