piercing my ears before camp..?

okay im twelvee...so on my birthday july 23rd, i was going to get my ears pierced..but my camp starts only a couple days after that...
At camp we go swiming in the lake, and hike, and get muddy, and etc....but im sooooooooooooooo excited to get my ears pierced, it would like be hard to get them after camp.

why would it be bad to pierce them right before camp? what could happen?
should i wait til camps over?

dont wait, ear piercings only hurt like a day after you get them done. and not even that much at all.
dont worry about it, just make sure you bring ear care antiseptic and clean them every night and stuff.
you will be fine.
