Pierce Brosnan - Worst Bond Film?

The Beach Boys surfing skit (California Girls) was in A View To A Kill during the pre-credits sequence when Roger Moore surfed away from the baddies at the South Pole on a single ski, then fell into a submarine disguised as an iceberg being piloted by Mary Stavin.

All of Brosnan's films had crap baddies in them. Sean Bean was nothing memorable (though Goldeneye is a good film), Jonathan Pryce was terrible, and Sophie Marceau and Robert Carlyle were completely forgettable. While Toby Stephens was at least memorable in Die Another Day, his baddie wasn't particularly bad. He just smirked a lot. The best Bond films are the ones with the best bad guys, and Brosnan's baddies weren't bad enough.
 
They missed it out because they allowed BBC2 to screen it just a couple of months ago.

Where were you?

Biggest shame about this ITV season is that they dont seem to have been supplied with the restored prints as released on dvd over a year ago.

They certainly improve the feel of the Connery movies a great deal

Fave Bond Theme: Goldfinger, Shirley Bassey

Fave Bond Villain: Blofeld, You Only Live Twice

Fave Bond Girl: Britt Ekland in her bikini, Man with the Golden Gun (Hubba Hubba)

Fave Bond Sequence/Stunt: Ski off Mountain, The Spy who Loved Me

Fave Bond: Well, I grew up in the Roger Moore era, so....Roger for me
 
Pierce Brosnan was alright...but Die Another Day was probably the worst Bond film, after Moonraker. Goldeneye is one of my favourite Bond films, and TND I thought was very good too. I just hope Daniel Craig can keep up with the expectations of him after the terrific Casino Royale.
 
I thought Goldeneye was a great debut and The World is Not Enough was very good but Die Another Day was awful even with Halle Berry. My favourite Bond has to be Connery and my favourite Bond movie is either Goldfinger or Live and Let Die.
 
Apart from Connery, Brosnan was my favourite Bond.
Don't like Daniel Craig and thought Casino Royal was crap. I fell asleep through it twice!
