Picture size for background

Hello everyone,
I was hoping someone can help me out. I have a picture I want to use for my background on my phone but it will only let me select part of it. Is there a way to have the whole picture selected for the background? Maybe there is an app that will do or do I have to format it?

Thanks for your help.

I think what he means is that age old problem that we answer every couple of weeks on here about how Android defaults to selecting a rectangle in the centre of the picture, rather than the whole picture.

What you do is press your finger one the edge of the rectangle, and drag the edge out so it covers the area of the picture you want.

Look at the specs for your phone and find the size of your display.

Use a picture handling program to resize the picture you wish to use to that size, you may have to crop it to get it to the right size. Then set the new version of your photo as your background, or whatever.

Welcome to the AC forums Oldun.

I still think the problem is not the size of the original picture, but the fact that he didn't know you can adjust the size of the crop box when you set a background picture.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I did know you could resize the box but it would never fit the whole picture. I will try resizing the picture.

Thanks again!

Brett
