Picture/Photo Editing: How Can I Edit Pictures/ Photos?

I have a account on Photobucket.com and want to post some pictures on my page but with a twist. I have a picture I want to edit. But how can I edit it so I can put my face on this characters body. And are there any good sites I can do this on.
