Unless MS is smart and wants to bury the Blue Ray player and make HD-DVD the norm. Which I could totally see them doing.

Take a 100-200 dollar hit for a couple months to equip a better selling system with Next Gen disc format so that it gets into homes and increases HD-DVD sales? I can see it, I think Blue Ray is lame anyway, i hate Sony products (though they do have Gran Turismo so I usually end up buying a PS * whenever they're like 100-200 dollarS).

If they did make it ps3 price, im sure the fanboys will be like, oh man, its a great deal now!!! yet they say a ps3 is overpriced. not bashing 360, so dont bother with flaming.

Nah, if you want to say anything say, that it'll cost $100 extra for wireless networking on the 360.

The PS3 is a great machine. (Not one I can afford, unfortunately. Heck, I don't even have cable.) That basketball game looks awesome. I just want the 360 when it has a new die shrink; hopefully it'll be more reliable. Us fence sitters want to see what kind of problems you PS3 guys get in the next 6 months. We already know about the PS3 up-convert problem. You guys with the 1080p plasmas are lucky guys.
