A light plane is headed due south with a speed of 154 relative to still air. After 1.07 hour, the pilot notices that they have covered only 124 and their direction is not south but southeast (45.0).
I figured out that the wind velocity is 109 m/s northeast. Now the problem asks what the direction of the wind is in degrees northeast. All my various calculations point to 45 degree, but that software says that's wrong. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
