One cue your hearing system uses to localize a sound (i.e., to tell where a sound is coming from) is the slight difference in the arrival times of the sound at your ears. Your ears are spaced approximately 17.1 cm apart. Consider a sound source 3.87 m from the center of your head along a line 48.8° to your right. What is the difference in arrival times? Assume the velocity of sound is 343 m/s.
 
Use dimensional analysis to get everything in one unit, and from what I understood you might need to use sine, cosine, and/or tangent.

Sorry. I really don't have any idea beyond that. Good luck though...
