Find the current in and potential difference across each of the resistors in the following circuits:

a) a 150 Ω and a 180 Ω resistor wired in series with a 12 V source

b) a 150 Ω and a 180 Ω resistor wired in parallel with a 12 V source

a) i=12/(150+180)=0.3636amp
V150ohm=ir=0.3636x150=5.4545vols
V180=0.3636x180=6.5455volts
b) R=150||180=150x180/330=81.8181ohms
Ieq=12/81.8181=0.1466amp
V=12 for both resistors
I150=12/150=0.08amp
I180=12/180=0.06666amp
