I've dropped a shotput from 1.5m onto a block of foam to simulate a head hitting the dashboard of a car in an accident the average height of the 1st bounce off the foam was 0.407m, the average time between the release and the 1st bounce is 0.527s, the average time between bounce 1 and bounce 2 was 0.62s therefore the change in time was 0.0933s.
How do i work out velocity before impact?

and impulse and momentum change but the answers for momentum and impulse have to equal the same thing because of the theorem and no matter what i do i get different answers!
