if a car goes along a straight road heading east and speeds
up from 45ft/sec to 60 ft/sec in 5 sec, the acceleratin is ___ft/sec

A.2
B.3
C4
D5

if a car qoes around a curve with a radius of 50 ft and speed of 40 ft/sec, the magnitude of the acceleration is ?

A.1.25
B 32
C 160
D 200

Question 1:
The formula you need to know is acceleration= change in velocity/change in time

so, acceleration= (60-45)/5 = 3 , which is answer B

Question 2:
The formula you need to know for this is
Acceleration=v^2/r

so, acceleration = 40^2/50= 32, which is answer B also.

Hope that helped
v^2/r
