I was doing a physics lab, and I am stumped on one question.
Why is no image formed if the object and the image are separated by less than 4 focal lengths. You may use the equation: f=(L^2-d^2)/4L.
how do I explain that? =\ please help.
L is the distance between the object and the image.
D is the distance between the position of the lens.
If that even makes sense?
