physics demonstration project help D:?

For physics class, we have to do a demonstration of a physics concept. I'm doing the Pendulum on the Cart demonstration. You just basically build a cart and then put the Pendulum where the center of mass is. [for the pendulum i'm going to use a string and attach a ball.

When I push the cart, is the pendulum suppose to move or stay still if it's at the center of mass?
