PHYSICS CHECK MY ANSWERS PLEASE!!?

In order to raise the tempurature of 200g of water (c=4.19J/g*celcius from 30 to 50 degress celcius the amount of heat energy required is ??

I said, 1.68 x 10^3

In the equation c=Q/m^T, c represents

a. temp
b.heat required
c.loss of heat
d. specific heat capacity

a mouse trap, the type of energy stored in it is??
oops I said temp
and number 3 I dont know

For Q=mcT, your answer of 1.68x10^3 J is correct.

In that equation c is the specific heat capacity (which is a number unique to each material in water's case 4.19 J/(g C) ).

Think about the mouse trap. What does it do? When you set it, you pull it back through a spring system. Thus spring potential energy is stored in the mousetrap.
