PHP: posting a form to a table in the page?

I finished my first web page. Now I need a form to collect information and post it in the web page. My research tells me that I need PHP. Do I have to learn to write this myself. Ca I get a pre-made script? Is there a program I can get to do this kind of stuff? Or who can I hire?
Point me in the right direction please.
