I created a log in form, which works, but the issue I'm having is restricting access to a page based on the administration level. Although I have the correct login information I am still being redirected to the failed login page. So I did some research and it turns out the session variables are not being saved. This form is on a commercial server, so I checked to make sure session paths were enabled and they are. I also located the save_session_path and included this line of code in the beginning of the restricted page, "session_save_path("/var/php_sessions");", but unfortunately the form still fails. I tested this form on MY server and it works perfectly. It seems the issue is with the server.
Phew! Okay so now you know the idea of the problem. My question is should I contact the server for help on the issue or is there another work around? Thank you.
