Can anyone provide me a clear explanation on how to install and run PHP on MySQL (Windows Vista)? I used to install xampp/wamp at the beginning, but only Apache worked NOT MySQL for some reasons ( ports and file directories checked ). I uninstalled the tool and decided to go for a harder manual installation, however failed to connect the database again, even though followed all the instruction & documentations 
"Oh so wonderful... " i thought "Lets work at least with Apache, the world wont go down..." and happily installed xamp back... Now nothing works AT ALL....((

yeah, and one more thing...Even though i am dumb, as i said, i know how to start a computer, install and run a software and its services. Wish to get really useful advices, no primitive responses, please...
