What about free lancing? you can design and program websites for others in return for money. Actually i am taking this approach currently (Asp.net though).

im going to take php as my career,
mnc's like tcs, wipro, cts, hp, ibm, infosys, syntel, iflex
almost not using php technology.

after getting 2 years of expericence in php
hows my career would be?
