php and My sql, accepting null values?

my teammate and I develope and php script and database,
the scrpt produces a form where they can enter name, address and stuf like that
then makes an entry in the database
thin is though, is any of the boxes are left empty, then it doesnt create the entry, it wont make an entry if there is a null value in any of the boxes
