photoshop problem- how do i make the clone look less obivious and patchy?

i have a great photo but it has been ruined by me cloning an object to fit better on the page.

now the sea water looks stripy and un-natural.

how can i make it look good and real?

its for my university project and i am praying i can sort it out!

on photoshop
by clicking filter then liquify
its cool

Use a brush with a very soft (fuzzy) edge for a start. It's the hard lines which make you come unstuck in PS. Use lots of different sample areas rather than just one. If you make a mistake just Ctrl-Z and try again.

Clone tool is really great but it takes a little practice till you get the knack of it... Good luck!
