Photoshop installing custom brushes problem?

Hi, well at first my first attempt went fine , and the brushes were in photoshop but i went through the same method (which was downloading the brushes, extracting the file and placing it in the right directory > presets > brushes), but i cant get any other brushes , from the same site, to work. I use the exact same method but nothing happens. Also when i drag the brushes file into the brushes directory the file disappears from the Original folder, when on my first attempt it remained there.
