photoshop help! i'm having problems installing photoshop on my pc i have windows 98?

anyone have a solution i tried downloading it from the adobe site but when i installed it it asked for a serial number

You didn't really tell us what version you were trying to install; I highly doubt you were able to install CS4 on Windows 98. The serial number is the number on the CD case.
