Photoshop CS4 text issue! HELP!?

Okay, so in photoshop CS4 I keep having a text issue. The text starts at .01 font size and WILL NOT CHANGE.No matter what number I put into the font size box it changes right back to .01! Even if I go into the character box it doesn't change... nothing does actually- only the font. How can I fix this?!
