I have a layer that I want to only keep the shadows of, and I decided that a way I might be able to do that easily is to create a white-black gradient map applied to a layer mask and pull the midtone slider to the left a bit so im essentially masking out everything above the shadows in one easy go. this would be pretty freakin awesome, is it possible at all?
