I want to tweak my pictures and have more options than the basic program gives me. Any Ideas? I have taken Photography so I know what I am doing. :)
*(meaning, I have taken photography classes, but I don't have the right equipment to lead me in the right direction)

Adobe Photoshop CS3 is the best (or at least latest) on the market. CS4 is supposed to be out early next year from what I've read. You can try a light and often free version called Photoshop Elements, but you don't get near the tools and flexibility of the full version.

As long as you run though the tutorials that usually come w/ the program and the online tutorials, you should get a pretty good overview of the tools and methods for doing about anything you'd ever want to do w/ a photo using the program.

if you know what your doing why do you ask?

Photoshop CS3 is proberly the "best", I use version 7 at home, cs2 and cs3 at work, they are all good

Microsoft photo editor should suffice.

Good photography between you and the camera. Good photos should need to be cropped at best.

Any version of Adobe Photoshop will do nicely. If you want one that's affordable, Photoshop elements 7 would likely complement your photography well. I recommend Elements because, unlike the CS versions that can run thousands of dollars, Elements usually runs around 100 and is therefore more affordable for the casual photographer.

Happy shooting.
