Photography Sunglasses

Theme? I want to do a theme where I take a picture of a different person but each person will be wearing the same pair of sunglasses. But the only problem is, I don't know what that will represent or what the meaning of wearing those glasses mean or whats the meaning of the glasses.

I should also mention I am 17 years old taking a photo 1 class. The teacher told us to pick any theme we'd like and I chose to do the sunglasses theme. We have one week to do this and I would like to take a pair of sunglasses to school and take a picture of 72 of my friends with the pair of sunglasses. but I want this to be something that looks like photography and not something anyone can take.

but also i would like to have a meaning to why I choose this theme .
Im using a 35mm camera. Film.

should I use color or b&w film?

But I need to think of a reason of why I chose this theme, not only because I like it, but whats the reason for the glasses n such
 
The last shoot I did with sun glasses was to use them in advertising as a way to promote and sell them. That was the meaning of the shoot, but of course we used the same models and different sun glasses.

Is this theme part of a photoArt assignment? An assignment where you have to write a justification of your work? This was a popular assignment in the 1970's, but sort of last its favor because it did not lead to photographic excellence, but made excellent academic writers ... that could be accomplished without a camera.

As a photo instructor I am concerned about two things:

* Technical excellence of the presentation (perfect prints)
* Success of the photographer to attract the viewers eye by the use of good composition, lighting, lens selection and camera position.
 
Art doesnt exactly need an explanation or meaning behind it.
but... it could be an example of how these people are all hiding something. [behind the sunglasses, get it?]
