Photography question - what to wear while taking pictures outside?

I'm going for a hike today! On a beautiful mountain!

What clothes look best in outdoor pictures?
Bright?
Flowery/busy?
Plain?

Should I go feminine or tom boyish?

Opinions? Thoughts?

Please help!?
Thank you Bill C! floral colors sound like the perfect! and the concept of matching "plant with flower" is very artistic and I love it!!
Much love to you!
cheers!

I would dress very casual in white, no shoes, look as natural as possible. but just for the pics, like stand in water with bare feet.

I think solid colors are generally best. However if you're going to be on a very solid background a patterned dress or top couldn't hurt. Lighter colors for a lighter background, darker colors for darker background. Dark is the way to go if you're looking for a more intense look, hope it helps!

Before you select your wardrobe, you need to decide what you want to convey in the photo. Do you want it to look fun and happy or dramatic and exciting? Do you want to look like an advanced hiker or like someone who is just out enjoying the day?
Also, you do not want the clothes to clash with the background. Be very careful with the selection of colors.
Consider props you might want to use. For example: walking staff, backpack, kids, etc.
Or, do you just want to relax, enjoy the day and take a few pics to remember it? If so, just be yourself.
Have fun on your hike.
