Photography question, shooting with an SLR here, ?

got my pictures back and they have all these shadows at the bottom! http://taragphotography.shutterfly.com/ (go to recent pictures) is where you can view them, you'll see. Some of the shadows I know can have been avoided by not shooting directly at noon time (it was really sunny), but still two of the pictures that are half decent I feel I did something wrong with. I'm still learning, please help. Thank you! (Three pictures at top of website were by me but with a digital point & shoot & edited)

Tara... those images are awful.

If you must shoot in a high contrast day (harsh light overhead light) use fill flash.

Some of those images have terrible spot lighting on the child which degrades the quality of the image.

You are trying to promote your photography... I mean, the site says Tara G Photography... the crap you posted is going to keep you out of work.

If I may suggest, go to http://www.nyip.com and read some of the advice they put up every couple of weeks... it will improve your photography.
