While you may take 100 shots, you only want to give her the best of the best and that may be only 20 or 30. Choosing the best of the best is what editing is and that can take a few minutes to do. $150 to shoot her dogs for one hour (you have to figure in your travel costs and time) and compile a CD, is just about right.

"editing", do you mean manipulating them? That is usually billed at from $25 to $100 per hour and is usually separate from the shoot. There are pros who do this much better and faster than any photographer

I am not a professional photographer to start. I am just really good at editing pictures. my aunt saw my pictures on facebook and wants to pay me to take pictures of her dogs. (random I know) I'm not sure how to go about pricing. I'm thinking 100 pictures all together with editing and putting them on a cd. also if she wants prints that will be included. Since she is family, how much would you charge? I'm just guessing 30 bucks? is that too little? any advice would be great :)

I would say $30 is about right if she's your Aunt and you like her. If she wants prints then charge her per print your cost plus $5 per print or something like that.
