photography.... ? help?

so im a freshmen in highschool , and im not sure what i want to be yet but i wanna know soon so i can take the right classes next year ect
this year i signed up for fashion / interior design. thinking i might want to be an interior designer but i dont really know if i still wanna do that
but my question is , if your a photographer or learning to be one ..
is it hard ? do you like it ? what kind of things do you take pictures of
 
I'm not sure if we are in the same country so things may be different. I enjoy photography although there is quite a lot of writing to do, like analysing photographs. We get set projects and have to take photographs to do with the title, so we take a variety of images and subject matters.
