I'm a piano performance major at a conservatory, and my studio-mates and I (i.e. all the piano students studying with my teacher) are doing a photo mosaic for our teacher in appreciation of what he has done for us.
The mosaic is a portrait of him, made up of individual photos of us and him. So from afar you only see the portrait of our teacher, but when you look closer, you'll see the individual photos that make up the main image.
We need help deciding on the caption that goes below the mosaic. We would like to more or less summarise the relationship between the main image and the individual photos in the caption, something along the lines of:
When you look really close, all you see is pictures of individual students, each unique in his/her own way. But when you step back, you see the whole picture of how each one of us is a little piece of our teacher and his pedagogical profile.
Of course the most obvious one would be "We are all pieces of you", but that's a bit too...literal, I guess.
Any help is appreciated!
