photo managing software for mac?

I have a mac and am looking to create a DVD of photos of my friend's kids and give it to my friend for his kids' 1st birthday.

I want help in trying to find some software which will help me do this.
I am looking to do something like an effect between each photo and maybe some music overlay.

Any suggestions?
 
Buy iLife at Mac Stores, then use iPhoto(it is used to store photos), iMovie(it is used to make videos), and iDVD(it is used to make a dvd). You also have to buy a DVD-R for you to burn the DVD. =)
