Ok, now that most people in this thread agree that it's the cable, well the connection head is the what's causing the problem, any idea on how to minimize the risc?
Cause many have bricked their phone and they didn't touch the phone.
well i think Nokia knows about this problem (the cable one)...since the n95 and possibly the n93i is gonna have mini usb!! i hope that solves the problem...
since the nsu downloads the file from nokia to update...it has to be somewere in the pc for that time...some one look in the windows temp file while updating it might be there...
i hope nokia will solve this problem by the time they ship out the n95!!!
Yeah but all those phones with the new usb cable all have OTA so it becomes moot.
I think the current cable is fine its the two prongs on either side of the head that "clip" into the phone that get loose and cause problems. thats why I have a special new cable i only use for updates. That way it doesnt get loose and I dont have a expensive brick to about.
When I use the headphone adapter or the wired headset that came with the E61 I do not have a problem. Whatever the cause I think Nokia is aware of the issue and thats why the mini usb connector on the E62, I don't think they will admit there is a problem because then they will have to provide a fix which will cost money.
