sorry if this is a dumb question cause im a new Tmobile customer but does T-mobile do these? like lets say you stay with them for 2 years.. and you want a new phone, will they give you a discount? thanks

Yes, after 11 months TMO kicks in a discount that increases. By 2 years you are the same discount as a new user in most cases. You can check you eligibility on the MyTmobile web page

Also, you can tell them your interested in Cingular/AT&T phone for less money upon sign up, they should attempt to make some sort of deal to lower their prices 4sure!

lol thats a good one....for sure you would get a discount.....but yea at 6 months i got 50 dollars off my first upgrade.....

The upgrade program adheres to a few more terms than just tenure. Rateplan and standing have a lot to do with it as well as months since las discount. Keep in mind wireless is backwards because they don't make money off phone sales (we actually loose 50% or more), but we make it up in monthly revenue. If you only pay 40 a mont, it takes approx 6 to 8 months to just break even from the initial cost of adding you to the network and loss in phone purchase. That's why it takes so long to get discounts. Amazon and ebay are great options as well as there is a "save" dept for deep discounts to out of contract customers attempting to leave. Lemmie know if you have questions

i work for tmobile and the upgrade program is after 6 months or so u get a partial upgrade and after 22 months with ur contract in good standing then you get the full discount. Now tmobile does it like almost all the other companies and added the 18 dollar upgrade fee that you have to pay instore.

The upgrade fee is half the price of the new activation fee of $35. It is applied to all DISCOUNTED upgrades but not to full price purchases. Keep in mind from feb 15 (my birthday but they are not doing this on my behalf I assure you lol) to the end of the month there will be NO activation fee for new additions to T-Mobile. In the past this applied to upgrades as well and could probably be argued to recive a waiver of the fee

I have upgraded many times .. i call in and in the IVE ask for cancling service and it will take u to a retention specialist and once they answer i dont even even bother i just come out with "I need the total to cancel my line with the canclation fee, due to i am going to anuther carrier" now u cant let them call ur bluff ... they usually give u really good deals and when i tell them i rather pay to cancel u to get a new phone for chaeaper .. i have even got 2 phones in one year for less than online pricing ... i gotta bull s**t them but hey if u sound confident it works. but u cant ask to be transfered to retention only the ive will send u over

Be sure to check out all of your options before you decide. Check online, call customer service, check eBay and Amazon. Be well informed so you don't have the woulda, coulda, shoulda's later!
